Longing Times [OPEN]

Vassylissa was somewhat at peace now, here in these lands with this stallion. He had not done anything to hurt her, and he was welcoming. The fact made her relax, and she cocked up a hind leg, position growing more and more relaxed as she stayed there. The stallion most definitely had amazing self control. She didn't know many males that would be able to hold back during spring and summer when the mares' scents filled the air around them and most likely drive them wild. She wondered if Ghost was even being effected by it. He was just remaining so calm and standing with her, talking to her. No doubt her scent wrapped around him like a boa constrictor especially when she flicked her tail, but yet he remained calm, not at all making a move toward her. He was a gentleman, she assumed.

The painted mare shook out her mane as som flies settled upon her neck. They quickly scattered before landing right back on her pelt. The little suckers were probably the most annoying things, and the only time they ever went away was in the winter. Oh how Vassylissa couldn't wait for the cold months to come. Although she could deal with out the frozen ground that left the horses of the land starving, and the frozen water that left them thirsty. That was definitely not the most fun experience in the world... But there were no flies, so that was something positive. A small snort at herself brought her back to attention after she zoned out. The flies were a pain in the butt -sometimes literally- to handle, but she supposed it wasn't all that bad.

Her ears perked forward as the stallion spoke and ice blue eyes watched him as he sprang forward into a canter. She watched as he bucked playfully, and she straightened her body, ready to spring after him. But he gripped his shoulder and circled back toward her, and she smiled. Her body pulled up in a small, playful rear as she shook her head and pushed off into a canter, slow at first and more like a lope until he caught up to her, and then she would speed up her pace to match his, head tossing playfully as she ran. Yes... This was nice... This was home.
