It was strange to be sharing such a peaceful moment with a complete stranger who had known him for less than a full day, not in a bad way of course. Life was full of new experiences and each would come at their own time along the journey, and this moment in time was no different. Nothing had prepared him for such a eventful day so to speak, finding someone to share his home with, having somehow remained calm and cool despite his inner nervousness of screwing up and making some mistake. Maybe he was too hard on himself at times but if he didn't do it there was no one else around to keep things in order. Making mistakes at this point couldn't happen and he would never forgive himself should he slip up. Another trial of the unexpected world that he had been told he could never achieve, never imagine, yet here he was living in the supposed failure and thriving. The thought amused him to no end but he knew that no matter what he accomplished his father would never be proud of him, not for being how and who he was. It was a saddening thought but there was nothing that could be done about it. Things would never change, there was no point in trying to fight a losing battle. It was better to just keep moving forward and not look back to the past, there were too many haunting memories there that could surface.
Pushing the thought aside as quickly as it came up he refused to let it dampen his happy mood, the past was the past for a reason. Many minutes passed before the young fawns disappeared from sight with their mother in tow, they definitely had the right idea though as the storm was approaching. At one point Daisy had moved to lean gently on his shoulder as they watched the deer play, it was a strange feeling to have someone so close but it felt nice. Foreign circumstances did not bother him as much as they probably should, it was easier to just go with the flow instead of worry over little things. Standing still he did not move away from Daisy but rather took the opportunity to study the mare from his close vantage point. Upon seeing the fawns her eyes light up with a whole new light and a calmness radiated from her as she absorbed the sights before them. His gaze only lingered for a few moments before he tore his eyes from hers to watch the fawns as well. Having next to no experience with babies it was another foreign territory for him but one that amused him watching their playful antics and carefree attitudes, quite the opposite of his own childhood. Hearing the fair lyrics of the fae caress his ears he stepped forward to follow her at the suggestion of moving on to drier ground to wait out the weather. "After you," He said gently motioning for her to lead the way back to flat ground. "There are some little caverns around the base of the mountain that might provide some escape from the rain, would you want to head there?" He asked motioning further out from where they were.
He hadn't gotten to much time to explore all of the land but he knew of basic places to serve their purposes of survival. In time the rest of the land would become common knowledge but until that time there was only so much he had to draw from. "Taking turns works for me, you can start off." He replied smirking as he picked up his pace a little hoping to find somewhere dry before the showers descended upon them. By having Daisy start he could at least figure out a starting point for his own questions so not to pry to much into her personal life. Nothing about him was really all that exciting in his opinion so he didn't care where she chose to start her questions. His past was somewhat of a sensitive topic he did not wish to disclose many of the horrific details it entailed so if he could a general basis would work so not to upset his companion with the complete history and facts. Over the years he had managed to conceal much of his life from others only giving what was necessary, but a time would come when more may have to be shown this much he was certain it was just a matter of when.
